Building an Inclusive Classroom 

You're invited to McDowell Environmental Center for our brand new workshop designed to help you effectively build an inclusive community within your classroom. The key question that will be answered: How do we build inclusion and opportunities for social and emotional learning through intentional choices?

In this two-day workshop we will:

• Investigate ways to include social and emotional growth in any classroom or organization. 
• Learn how to create a place where students can develop their Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision Making, Self-Awareness and Self-Management. 
• Build a classroom that is more successful academically because of the buy-in your students have for you, their community, and their coursework.   

Come learn some effective, strategic, and exciting ways to help strengthen your classroom or team as we build them up and help them grow.  This workshop will be extremely interactive, giving you tools here that you can take back with you to make change in every student’s lives. 

McDowell is an AMSTI affiliate, so you will earn continuing education credits at this workshop. 

Cost depends on the lodging you choose. Four meals included with delicious food!

     Single hotel style room and meals - $120

     Double hotel room and meals - $85

     Cabin (shared and bring your own linens and  towels) - $50
