Buddhist Studies Program: Shedra Year 1 & Vajrayana Year 2 ~ July 1 - 31, 2020 

Food

Ewam serves three healthy, vegetarian meals daily. There will be a cook for lunch and dinner, however you will prepare your own breakfast with food provided. Items for breakfast will be: nut butters, jelly, cereal, granola, milk, yogurt (fat-free, regular), fruit, bread, oatmeal, and eggs. We cannot accommodate all dietary needs and preferences but we invite you to tell us your concerns and we will try to work with you as best we can.

Retreat Fee

Cost for the entire program includes all the teachings, 3 meals a day and accommodations. We have two fees depending on your ability to pay.

Camping - $950 and $1,100 (includes use of the sangha house)

Shared Room - $1,300 and $1,500

This year an online version of the shedra will be offered for Year 1 only.  Cost is $450 and $350 sliding scale.

Commuter non-residential rates for year one $650 and $750 includes all teachings and lunch

Deposit only - $200 (Holds your place in the retreat.  Final payment expected by June 15th)

Payment in full at the time of registration (below) is encouraged though you may choose to pay only the deposit to hold you place in the retreat. Final payment is due no later than June 15th. If choosing to pay the deposit only, you will need to contact info@ewamshedra.org for instructions on paying your balance.

Air and Ground Transportation

We are 30 minutes from the Missoula airport. While we do not provide transporation from the airport to Arlee there are other ride sharing options and an airport van available.

Karma Yoga

Karma Yoga (work service) is time offered to support the needs of the retreat and is an intrinsic part of spiritual practice. All retreatants will participate in approximately one hour of karma yoga daily. We greatly appreciate your willingness to help in this way. You will be assigned the same task each day.  However, you may trade jobs with another student on your own.  Please inform the retreat manager of any mutual changes to the karma yoga assignments.

Texts

Please purchase a copy of Treasury of Precious Qualities and bring it to the teachings. We will also use Cascade of Blessings (Ewam Prayer Book). Bring it if you have it or you may purchase one at Ewam.
