This two-day training focuses on working within the civil and criminal justice systems in partnership with survivors of domestic violence. Experts with extensive experience will provide insider information about the realities of navigating the court system for victims of domestic violence. The first day focuses on the civil legal system and remedies developed for victims including extensive learning and discussion about civil protections orders. On the second day, topics include Ohio domestic violence criminal law, how the criminal system and process work, and what protections are available to survivors.
