Regardless of whether you attend the NAWBO Signature monthly meetings, and no matter where you’re located, you're always welcome to join NAWBO Uptown for breakfast!

More than coffee & food... we restore hope. By coming in for a great cup of coffee, enjoying a farm-to-table meal, or hosting your next business meeting in our fully appointed private meeting room, you are playing an important part in our program. Community Matters Cafe serves as an extension program to Charlotte Rescue Mission, a nonprofit transforming lives in Charlotte by providing free residential recovery programs for those struggling with the disease of addiction. After completing the recovery program at Charlotte Rescue Mission, graduates have the opportunity to apply for the Life Skills Training Program offered by Community Matters Cafe. This 120-day extension initiative prepares graduates for getting back into the workplace and teaches them a variety of essential life skills in both a classroom and cafe/restaurant environment. When you visit our cafe, you are not only reinforcing the life skills our students are learning, but you are showing them that they have a community that believes in their future
