This training includes a review of the legal and ethical issues associated with clinical supervision. Participants will have an opportunity to learn the rules, laws, and ethics associated with the responsibility of clinical supervision. 

Learning Objectives:
  • Participants will become aware of the inherent ethical and legal issues associated with clinical supervision.
  • Participants will explore and understand concepts related to competence, due process in evaluation, informed consent, types of supervisor liability, privileged communication, and consultation.
  • Participants will review the most updated regulatory issues including Ohio laws governing the practice of counseling and counseling supervision, professional standards and credentialing processes
