Basic Crash Investigation - Module II - Springfield, MO March 24-26, 2020

Join us for Module II - Basic Crash Investigation. This is the second of two (2) Modules you will need to complete the Basic Crash Investigation program through the Missouri Safety Center. This course will take place in Springfield, Missouri at the MoDOT Southwest District Office.

The Missouri Safety Center has changed its Crash Investigation courses.  We currently offer 5 Modules for the Crash Investigation Series, which is split between Basic (Modules I & II) and Advanced Concepts (Modules III, IV, & V).  Basic Module II is 24 hours and is being held in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Transportation, Southwest District Office.  You must have participated in Module I to enroll in Module II.

The full 5-Module Course includes Basic (Module I & II) and  Advanced Modules (Modules III, IV, & V)
· Each Module is 24 Hours and will be presented as 3-day courses
· Students may take Modules I and II as stand-alone modules
· Students must take Modules I and II in order to take III, IV, and V

The Crash Series Basic & Advanced, five-module course is designed specifically for the preparation of Missouri law enforcement officers and other relevant professionals to fully investigate traffic crashes. This investigative training includes documentation of crashes and the presentation of factual data to the court system for proper legal action, as well as the reports submitted to the state for further action in engineering, education and enforcement.

Basic Crash Investigation Module II continues the foundation of understanding crash types and what goes into a crash report.  A sample course outline is as follows:

• Types of Crashes
• Missouri Uniform Crash Report
• Chain of Events / Sequence of Events
• Types of Physical Evidence
• Photography
• Diagramming

NOTE: THIS COURSE IS BASIC CRASH INVESTIGATION MODULE I ONLY

POST Hours are approved for all Modules.  Basic Crash Investigation Module II is 24 POST Hours.

CEUs are pending for other industry professionals.

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Cost for the Basic Crash Investigation Module II course is $245.00 per attendee.  Refunds will not be given after March 20, 2020 but registration can be transferred to another individual from your agency.

You can register up to 5 people from your organization at one time.

Payment will be accepted in the form of checks, credit cards, and if you need to use a Purchase Order, please indicate on the registration form the need for a Purchase Order and a PO Number.  You will receive an invoice from Ronda Weinmann (weinmann@ucmo.edu) at the Missouri Safety Center.
