The Rochester Area Prayer Breakfast is held in recognition of the National Day of Prayer, bringing together people of different backgrounds and affiliations for the betterment of the community, the state, and the nation.

The 2020 featured speaker is Dr. Klint, senior vice president and head men's basketball coach at Rochester University. Along with two Small College National Championships and other top rankings, Pleasant has been recognized as National Coach of the Year, conference Coach of the Year, and also as a Conference Coach of Character. Pleasant has managed Oakland University's Office of Enrollment, overseeing the largest incoming freshman class in its 60-year history.

Three weeks after returning to Rochester Hills in 2005, the Pleasant's lives changed forever when Klint's wife, Rachel, was diagnosed with a life-threatening, malignant brain tumor. After many surgeries, rehabilitation and therapy, Rachel met the challenges and beat the alternative.  Today, Klint and Rachel have dedicated their lives to embracing the curve balls that life sometimes throws your way.  As a basketball clinician, community member, and inspirational speaker, Dr. Klint Pleasant shares the couple's journey and speaks to the urgency and uncertainty he faced when Rachel was first stricken and how he felt God's presence in the midst of darkness.
