NACIE is authorized by § Sec. 6141 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), 20 U.S.C. § Sec 7471.National Advisory Council on Indian Education. The Council will:
NACIE membership consists of fifteen (15) members who are Indian (including Alaska Native) as defined in 20 U.S.C. § Sec. 7491(3), and are appointed by the President lists of nominees furnished, from time to time, by Indian tribes and organizations. The fifteen members represent different geographic areas of the United States.
This meeting is free and open to the public to attend in person or through the online portal.
Tribal Tech, LLC is a contract service provider specializing in the support of Indian education efforts and provides logistical and communications services for activities essential to the mission of the Office of Indian Education.
