Nymphing for Winter Steelhead Class

  Nymphing is an extremely effective and productive for fly fishing for winter steelhead. Orvis Endorsed Guide Eliot Jenkins of Greasy Beaks Fly Fishing is offering an "on the water float" while focussing the class on Nymph/Dead Drift Techniques for Winter Steelhead. 

This class will cover:

  • Reading probable water for Nymphing/Dead Drifting 
  • Dead Drifting/Nymphing
  • Mending/Feeding line/Stack Mending
  • Setting up for the next presentation from the last drift
  • Setting the hook on a fish when you get a bite
  • Rigging
  • Flies/Beads
  • Fly Line Taper best for nymphing
 

  This is not a "casting" class, and you must have intermediate fly fishing skills with some experience steelheading. We offer more basic classes on our class calendar for those of you interested.

   The class is $200 per person, and there will be 3 students per boat with one instructor. Once you register, your spot is reserved & you will need to contact Eliot (the instructor) to collect payment and go over the logistics (what you will need to bring, how you will meet, his cancellation policy, etc).
