Parking at UW-Parkside

Parking on the UW-Parkside campus is available to attendees at no cost each day of the series. Park in LOT A for easiest access to the Student Center where the Cinema is located. If this lot gets full, there is an outlying LOT T (on the east side of Wood Road) where attendees can park and take a shuttle to the Student Center.

Leadercast Women 2020 - Discover the Power of Taking Courage

Leadercast Women 2020 is a 3-part series for and about professional women leaders to discover the power of taking courage in their daily leadership lives. Attendees will be inspired by bold women whose stories will teach everyone what courage looks like.

On each date below, we will meet at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside Cinema from 9:00am to 11:30am. Each date will open with networking time and continental breakfast, will include 2 TED-like videos, and be followed by local female leaders to extend the discussion of courage and leadership.

Friday, February 21

Speakers via Leadercast videos:

  • Laura Ling - Award-winning journalist and TV host
  • Glennon Doyle - Best-selling author, Activist, and founder, Together Rising

Followed by a local panel of women to include:

Followed by Dr. Deborah Ford, Chancellor at UW-Parkside, sharing the findings from her research on the Status of Women in Southeastern Wisconsin.

  • Francesca Gino - Researcher and professor, Harvard Business School

Followed by Aleta Norris, Co-founder of Living As A Leader and best-selling author of Women Who Spark, with a presentation featuring her unexpected journey of courage. Aleta will also be selling her book Women Who Spark: 12 Steps to Catapult Happiness, Cultivate Confidence, and Discover the Purpose of Your Life.
