Intentional composting is the single, most important human activity that can be performed to improve and maintain healthy soil. Composting is a natural process that has been taking place on earth since life began. It is the biological reduction of organic waste to a stable material called humus. The dark-colored, crumbly, sweetly fragrant layer of material found just under the leaf litter in the woods is humus. Loam, the best soil, is composed of humus, clay, silt, and sand particles.  Join Tina in this short seminar to learn which method of intentional composting is right for you.

Tina Marie is a very popular speaker throughout the Arkansas “plant world.” Her presentations are a combination of plant science, practical experience, and wit. Tina Marie is the head gardener and herbalist at the Ozark Folk Center State Park’s Heritage Herb Garden in Mountain View, Arkansas, since 1984. She is a member of the International Herbalist Association. Those who know Tina know she doesn’t just talk about plants, she lives them! She is hands-on every day, refining her knowledge through practice and passion.

Seating is limited, so please register by clicking one of the links below. Seating will be assigned on a first-come/first-served basis on the day of the seminar. We have comfortable seating in our overflow room, complete with a live video feed.

There is a fee of $5 per person.
