presents

with Chef Michael Kanter
The Cook & his Books
Doylestown, PA

Chef Michael loves cooking with bacon and all its variants. He also loves that sweet citrus touch. Peruse the delicious and creative menu he has in plan for us below.

But first, if you've never been to the Cook & his Books, let me tell you about it...

Imagine you are standing in a restaurant kitchen. The space is tight, pots and pans are filled and cooking everywhere. You’re watching and learning from the chef as he goes about creating a four course meal right before your eyes.

It’s a little hectic, a little crazy. The chopping, the smells, the clamor of a busy kitchen. And through it all, there’s the chef’s banter - sprinkled liberally with colorful language - full of cooking tips and culinary stories.

This is an evening with chef Michael Kanter.

It is not your typical cooking class. Think part stand-up comedy, part cooking demo - and a truly delicious meal.

Our last dinner club event at The Cook and his Books was July 2018 and it was a blast. Since then, Mike has made some upgrades to his kitchen so this is kind of a grand REopening.

Join us on Saturday, February 22 for a cooking demonstration of
a four-course dinner from start to finish.

Chef Michael's classes focus on his love for real ingredients, sourcing locally, and culinary traditions. The classes also include meal organization and planning and lots of honest insights and opinions on everything food related (note: Mike’s language can get a little colorful. If this might offend, best to meet up at our next event).

And it's BYOB too!
