More on February's Topic

With dramatic changes in equity compensation, Bruce Brumberg (co-founder and editor-in-chief of www.myStockOptions.comwww.myNQDC.com, and creator of the conference on Financial Planning for Public Company Executives www.myStockOptions.com/conference) will discuss the growing shift away from companies granting only stock options to granting other types of equity including restricted stock, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance shares.

He will highlight what you need to know to help your clients maximize the value of these grants and avoid tax and financial planning mistakes. Bruce will also discuss methods for attracting high net-worth clients with equity compensation.

Tax-return reporting has changed again for the 2020 tax-return season. including how you report capital gains from stock sales and the alternative minimum tax (AMT).Changes in the past few years include the expansion of Form 1099-B, the limits on cost basis reporting on it, the revised Form 8949, and Schedule D, tax reform.

This meeting will include 2 IRS CE.
