BIOS

KHALIL SMITH

VP Consulting at The Neuroleadership Institute.

Before joining NLI, Khalil opened and ran his own consultancy, Smith + Grey LLC, a boutique consulting firm that worked with medium-sized businesses on transforming organizational cultures and demystifying

group dynamics.

Prior to that, Khalil spent over 14 years in senior leader roles with Apple Inc. During the final half of his time with Apple, he led various teams on the Retail Training team, including global teams of over 40 learning professionals focused on expanding and strengthening the Apple culture across hundreds of retail stores in dozens of countries and languages. Khalil and his team were responsible for such critical
training elements as employee onboarding, technical skills, and product launches.

Khalil holds an M.B.A with dual concentrations in Leadership and Strategy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Khalil also holds a SHRM-SCP certification, a testament to his continued leadership and influence aligning HR strategies to organizational goals.

Khalil resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his amazing wife and high-school sweetheart, Sandra, and two incredible sons, Kevyn, who is currently attending Duke University, and Connor, who is currently attending first grade.

TRACEY FRANCE

EEO & Diversity Manager for the Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Ms. France’s federal career spans over 25 years. For the past 20 years she has honed her expertise in Equal Employment Opportunity, Civil Rights, and Diversity and Inclusion. She is certified by the Office of Personnel Management as a Diversity Game Changer, and she attained the Diversity & Inclusion Professionals Certificate through the Cornell University International Labor Relations Program.

Ms. France is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Warhorse of Words, LLC (WOW). Founded in 2007, WOW is an editorial services business based in Maryland.
