This is an opportunity to develop a well rounded understanding of how financial institutions operate and to understand how their components are risk related and risk managed.

SOME KEY POINTS THAT INSTRUCTOR, GARY MAPLES WILL TEACH ON ARE:

  • Provide a risk based understanding of managing a bank and the consequences of failing to address risk.
  • An increase in the understanding by bank staff members of their roles in mitigating risk, and how risk is related to profitability.
  • This is NOT a course in bank accounting, it is a practical review of how banks cut in managing inherent internal and external risks.
  • Inclues a unique excercise in which participants build a risk profile for their bank using their Uniform Bank Performance Report.
