What is the Chinese Market for US Products + How to Start Selling into China

What is the Chinese Market for US Products?

  • What is the state of the Chinese Market, where is the economy going, what is the government focused on in the next 5 years?
  • What industries are growing in China - what do they need that's not available locally, what specific products and technology?
  • What type of US products / components / services are the best (what is big now, what will be big in the future)

How to Start Selling Into China:

  • How do you map the typical market analysis in china; who is the competition, what is the size of the market, how much of that can you capture, what it will cost to enter, etc.
  • Will your US product have an audience in the China market - does your product fit into their supply chain and / or would customers use it? Is there the right physical environment (size, etc), does it fit culturally, etc. - or will you need to modify it?
  • What will your sales channel be - direct, distributor, sales team, etc. Understand how China can be different.
  • Marketing - tradeshows, online market place, retail, and industry groups, etc.
  • Other concerns; regulatory, taxes, warranty, etc.

Objective: At the end of the event participants will have gained a better understanding of the Chinese market and have solid knowledge of how to position their company and products to succeed.
