Introduction to Fundraising

Small nonprofits often do not have development or fundraising staff, yet fundraising is vital to the organization. This full-day workshop will help you develop a fundraising plan and teach fundraising skills that leaders and board members can use to create long term sustainability. 

• Have knowledge to create a well-developed case for support.
• Understand and develop the most effective fundraising strategies and how to gain the needed board support for fundraising activities to build sustainability.
• Learn why people give money and how to build plans to mobilize them as advocates.
• Have a clear understand of how to increase monetary support.
• Understand the impact of healthy board culture on fundraising.
• Develop clarity on how to translate your impact to the donor.

 

Early Bird Nonprofit Rate (through April 7, 2020): $40
Nonprofit Rate (after April 7, 2020): $50
Market Rate (applies to for-profit agencies): $300 per person

This workshop has a LATE CANCELLATION FEE of $250. This means if you register, and do not attend or send a substitute, your organization will be billed $250. The deadline to cancel without penalty is April 20, 2020.

The Presenter 

Jamie D. Levy (The Fundraising School at the School of Philanthropy at Indiana University), is the president and chief vision officer of JDLevy & Associates. He teaches not-for-profit management and development in the graduate and professional programs at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy, School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Fund Raising School. Jamie is a published writer and keynote speaker. Through his teaching and consulting, he has trained and developed more than 40,000 professionals from more than 30 countries. He has become recognized for his expertise in organizational development, especially as it relates to philanthropic sustainability and development. He has been a member of selected grantmaking and service organizations and remains an active volunteer.
