2020 Tech + Workshop 

 Join us for a full day of Church Technology Tools... PLUS! This year we are adding things like a Treasurer Workshop, Building Security Solutions as well as some of the popular topics from last year. The session schedule and summaries are below. You can pick and choose which sessions best suit your needs throughout the day. We'll begin with a Welcome and Introductions at 9:00 am. We have built in breaks to visit with vendors and presenters! Cost: $10

Session 1 - 9:30 - 10:30 am

Where Do We Start? - Presented by Diana Ruopp, Administrative Assistant at the MN North District Office. Do you want your church to have an effective online presence but aren't sure how to get started? Come here first to learn the lingo and get started on the basics. 

Security in the Church - Presented by D. J. Schilling. Given current events in our country, church security has become a priority. Learn about the most effective ways to keep your church and members safe.

Harnessing Social Media - Presented by Peter Frank, Senior Manager of Marketing Solutions at Concordia Technology Solutions. Peter's presentation will provide guidance in how to integrate social media into your church's online presence.

Session 2 - 10:45 - 11:45 am

Audio Visual for Worship - Presented by Rev. David Edge, Shepherd of the Pines, Rice, MN. Visit Pastor Edge's church and sanctuary and pick up some tools for effective use of Audio Visuals in worship.

Online Giving - Presented by Rich Bauer, Vanco Solutions. Learn about the different services, options and tools necessary to make the most of online giving.

Church 360: Members, Unite and Ledger - Presented by Peter Frank, Concordia Technology Solutions. From the moment a visitor walks through a church’s doors to the time that person joins and becomes involved, the Church360° software suite makes the church staff’s job of communicating, tracking information, and reaching out easier. This overview session will give a brief introduction to each program and show the time savings gained by using them together.

Session 3 - 12:30 - 1:30 pm

Telling the Story - Humanizing Technology - Presented by Ken Ohlemeyer, Sr. Marketing Mgr, Concordia Publishing House. Ken shares the importance of developing engaging stories and provides practical tips to spread the message you want to share through various social media platforms and websites.

Church Websites - Presented by Mr. Dave Hietala from Prince of Peace, Baxter, MN. Delve into hosting, designing and maintaining an effective church website.

Lutheran Service Builder & Organist - Presented by Peter Frank, Senior Manager of Marketing Solutions, Concordia Technology Solutions. Peter shares tips and expertise to help you make the most of these worshiop technology tools.

Using Social Media for Community Outreach - Presented by Rev. John Bonk, Shepherd of the Lake, Two Harbors, MN. Pastor Bonk will share his experiences using Facebook to advertise, promote and reach his community.

Treasurer Workshop - Presented by Angie Ringstrom, bookkeeper for the MN North District. Join Angie to dig into the treasurers manual, learn about changes, get your questions answered and share resources.
