Learn the difference between cash and accrual accounting, accounting data flow processes and how to get timely and accurate bookkeeping information. Topics include cash vs. accrual accounting, proper accounting data flow processes, the importance of budgeting, the purpose of different financial reports, the differences in computer accounting systems, cash management, and more.
This 2-hour seminar will explore and explain the types of accounting used in a small business, teach you how to generate the required reports and information, and most importantly how to derive meaningful management value from your reports

Ted Hilliard has more than 25 years of experience in account management and consulting and has worked with a client base in both the nonprofit and private sector.
He is the founder and managing consultant for Hilliard Management Group (HMG). HMG is a management consulting firm that specializes in small business accounting and finance. It is highly skilled in financial analysis and cash flow forecasting to improve business profits and performance as well. HMG works directly with clients to improve their accounting and finance processes. In addition, it works with the US SBA to conduct a series of small business bookkeeping and financial accounting workshops to help businesses succeed.
Ted has an MBA in Finance from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
