March 19th & 20th Suicide Intervention Training
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) goes beyond raising awareness about suicide prevention and develops skills that actually assist in reducing suicidal feelings in persons at risk.
ASIST is an intensive, hands-on course designed to help people learn to identify the risk of suicide and to intervene in preventing immediate suicide risk. The training is based on adult learning principles and encourages participants to actively share in the learning process.
ASIST is the foremost suicide prevention training program in the world.
Participants must attend the full two day workshop. Thursday & Friday 8:00 - 4:30.
Lotus is partnering with Shingletown Medical Center and Grace Mountain Ministry to bring this training to medical staff, educators, clinicians and community members in the East Shasta County areas.
This training is limited to 20 participants and will fill quickly.
We look forward to sharing this evidence-based, world-wide training with you, and we thank you for your interest in building a suicide-safer community.
