Federal Grants Part II: Federal Grant Readiness - A Case Study!

Memory Care Home Solutions applied for its first federal grant in 2017. The process was challenging, but the organization had made strategic investments in the preceding years which positioned them be competitive. Hear the story from the perspective of the Grants Manager with analysis from their federal grant consultant. The presenters will share ways for your organization to prepare for further federal grant seeking. The presentation and handouts are designed for organizations who have never had a federal grant as well as those who have at least one federal grant but are looking to improve their competitiveness. 

Meet the Presenter

Candace Schwartzkopf is Memory Care Home Solution’s Grant Manager and has been with the organization since 2017 in a variety of capacities. She is a graduate from Lindenwood University with a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Gerontology, and an M.B.A. Being a part of an organization that is innovative and forward-thinking in regards to the aging population is very important to her.

Fielding Jezreel is a contractual grant professional focusing on federal and nationally competed grant opportunities for nonprofits and has been awarded over $25 million in the last five years. She also teaches grant writing and coaches grant writers new to the field. Clients like Memory Care Home Solutions make her work rewarding and enjoyable!
