44th Annual Judicial Conference of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey

The AFBNJ's 44th Annual Judical Conference will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 8:30 am at Forsgate Country Club.

We have three exciting sessions this year:

- Karen Gray Houston- Karen is an award-winning broadcast journalist. Her uncle, Fred Gray, represented Martin Luther King, Jr. and defended Rosa Parks after the Montgomery bus boycott.  Karen's father led a march against white police brutality and was arrested for his activism. Hear her first hand account of growing up during the civil rights movement of the 50's and 60's in the company of two of its icons.

- Success Stories from ReNew and POP Courts - Hear from participants and recent graduates of the ReNew and POP Court programs.

- Civil Rights Today - The panel will discuss the civil rights movement of the 50's and 60's - where we have succeeded, where work still needs to be done, and what strategies can be undertaken moving forward as a nation.
