March 2020 Chapter Meeting Luncheon

Advising Clients Effectively in the New Environment
What to do About Aging Clients and Diminished Capacity

Speaker: Dr. Jim McCabe

Featured Partner:  Mike Sukle, NFP

This event has been canceled due to growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus. We apologize for the inconvenience. This presentation is expected to be rescheduled for a later date. Meals from this event will be donated to a local shelter.

Meeting Description

When an individual is suffering from diminished capacity, she is exposed to a number of risks, including: elder abuse, undue influence and physical harm. As an advisor, what do I do? Are there limits in terms of what I can and can’t do without creating liability for myself and my practice? How do I approach this difficult conversation with my client?  When can I share information with other stakeholders? Are there resources in the community to assist clients and their families in these situations?

1.5 hours CE available, pending approval by the CFP Board.
