Many of our clients ask about investment opportunities in non-traditional areas such as cryptocurrency and cannabis. The ability to invest, the business opportunities, tax and legal implications are rapidly evolving as these two industries mature and change.
Hear our speaker Bebo White Emeritus Associate at SLAC talk about the birth of “Satoshi’s dream” and how the concept has evolved with new currencies, blockchain applications, and ICO’s.
We also welcome Sumit Mehta founder and CEO of MAZAKALI, a turnkey platform for raising and investing cannabis capital. He will discuss the evolving cannabis industry and investment opportunities.
Dana Borys, CPA, MS founded her tax consulting and compliance firm to focus on emerging growth business planning. She will discuss the business opportunities and tax implications of cannabis investments.

Speaker 1: Bebo White, Department Associate (Emeritus) at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Bebo White is a Departmental Associate (Emeritus) at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Working as a computational physicist, he first became involved with the emerging Web technology while on sabbatical at CERN in 1989. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain are two of his current research interests.
Speaker 2: Sumit Mehta, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAZAKALI
Sumit Mehta is the Founder and CEO of MAZAKALI a cannabis investment firm based in San Francisco. In addition to his role with MAZAKALI, Sumit serves on the Banking and Financial Services Committee for the National Cannabis Industry Association.
Speaker 3: Dana Borys, CPA, MST
Dana Borys, CPA, MST has fifteen years of public accounting experience with a specialization in corporate tax services for cannabis, high technology, biotechnology, and consumer business companies. Dana holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University where she graduated with honors.
