Join us for the MOSS Meetup Virtually

The new Virtual MOSS Meetup will be a half-day online gathering designed for library staff from Idaho's colleges and universities, school libraries, and MLS/MLIS students interested in a career in academic libraries. 

The meetup will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and discover a variety of perspectives, discuss shared problems and brainstorm solutions, and develop new ideas to bring back to your libraries. 

Registration for this event is free. Potential agenda items include:

• Creative ideas for serving students during a pandemic
• Textbook affordability - what’s working and how we can advance this movement statewide
• Information literacy - with perspectives from secondary and post-secondary school libraries
• Meeting the needs of Idaho's increasingly diverse students 
• Networking and idea exchanging in an awesome virtual setting! 

Desired Outcomes for the Virtual MOSS Meetup:

• Attendees will increase their capacity to better meet the needs of students and faculty
• Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other academic library workers, future librarians interested in academic libraries, and school library workers from across the state to exchange ideas
• Attendees will integrate new ideas and trends into existing spaces, services, and partnerships
• Attendees will have a communication method to continue to exchange ideas following the meetup
• ICfL staff and ILA leaders will have a better understanding of the needs of Idaho academic library faculty and staff and will create a plan to best meet those needs shortly after the summit

Special thanks to our friends at the University of Idaho Library for arranging use of the McCall Outdoor Science School. Although we have had to transition this year's Meetup to a virtual one, you can save the date for July 29, 2021 for an in-person MOSS Meetup in McCall!
