Jon Gindick Tj Klay, Rj Mischo

October 13-15 2020

   $250 for first 20 people

Three nights and two jamming-filled educational social days for beginner and intermediate players with Jon Gindick.

Beginners: Bring your C harp. Intermediates: Bring your set. To prepare, sign up for a discounted SKYPE lesson. This will be a small, informal harmonica learning and jamming event led by Jon Gindick.

The range of instruction will go from raw beginner to a good players who want to learn and understand positions 1 through 6, plus 12.

Depending on how it comes together, it may not be an amplified blues workshop. But we will perform on a terrific stage with pa system. At night we can put on shows for patrons at the bar.

This is the first event I've done here in June Lake so I'm planning small with the idea that the program will grow. So far I am the only coach but as the event takes shape, I may add other professional musicians, coaches, and programs. This is why it is important to sign up as soon as possible. This is NEW and developing. Customers give it wings.

The event will be held at the T-Bar Social Club, a wonderful speakeasy intimate music venue in downtown June Lake (population 600). It has a stellar sound system and great vibe. In addition I have access to nearby private lakeside land and we should be able to hang out beside the water during the day. If you love the mountains and music learning and playing, this is THE DREAM.

Where will you stay? The T-Bar is offering a special discount for rooms in the wonderful and fun motels of June Lake. Here's the link to investigate: https://balancedrocksaloon.com/june-lake-lodging-partners/

Where the Heck Is It?

Faraway and worth the hassle: 7 hours northeast of Los Angeles International Airport, 3 hours south of Reno, 3 hours south of Tahoe, 40 minutes from Mammoth Airport, 40 minutes from Yosemite, 6 hours from Sacramento Airport.

The main highway that runs from eastern Southern California north is Highway 395. It's a great highway, going 70 traveling between mountain ranges,  with hot springs, lakes, camping spots on the way. Take your time!

Altitude Sickness at 7500 ft

It's real and its horrible, and if you are prone, I'd advise you to sit this one out, or take steps to mitigate.

Focused on the Fundamentals of Tone and Jamming

I am working on the curiculum for this camp, depending on how many people and what their needs are. You can be sure I will be reviewing tone, bending, riffs, question and answer, 12 bar, beyond 12 bar, positions 1-6 plus 12. And lots of jamming!

I SUSPECT MOST OF US WOULD JUST LIKE TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH OF MOUNTAIN AIR AND BLOW OUR BLUES AWAY.

BEGINNERS: PLEASE TAKE A SKYPE LESSON SO YOU CAN PREPARE.

I think there will be lots of time off for daytime waterside practice and other mountain kick-back activities, instruction for beginners ,and jamming for intermediates (with instruction.) We can open the T-Bar to the public at night and be the show.
