PPAL's Monthly Meeting and Networking: How to nurture children's social skills and friendships


Please welcome our guest speaker for March, Nadine Briggs!

Nadine Briggs is the Director of Simply Social Kids and managing partner of Social Success Central, LLC. She is also a best-selling author of the How to Make and Keep Friends book series and an accomplished social educator. She has a personal passion for helping kids find true friendships and connectedness. Simply Social Kids provides a sensory-simple, safe, accepting environment for children, teens and young adults to learn friendship skills and improve their optimism and resiliency.

"Social Coaching to Increase Optimism and Break Down Friendship Barriers"

This seminar will explain how to increase optimism and resiliency while also identifying and breaking down friendship barriers. The science behind proven theories of how to increase well-being will be explored. Simple exercises that are proven to rewire the brain to be more optimistic will be explained. Common friendship barriers will be explained with tips on how to overcome those barriers to allow for meaningful connections.

The event is free, but you must pre-register to be guaranteed a seat.

PPAL provides coffee/ tea, water and light snacks at our monthly meetings, but no longer serves lunch.  Please feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
