GET THE SCOOP ON DIRT
WITH FARMER NICK 12:15 PM
Tickets $10 per Adult
Did you know that tasty, healthy food starts with the dirt it’s grown in? More essential and basic than the concept of terroir (taste of place) without healthy soil, veggies are tasteless and listless. Get The Scoop on Dirt when Farmer Nick will share his secrets at our Earth Day Festival at Hope Farms!
Our farm's fourth birthday and annual Earth Day Festival at Hope Farms offers a deliciously festive opportunity for young and old to connect the health of our planet with the natural cycle of growing food. Supporting Earth Day’s traditional ReUse, ReNew, ReCycle theme, our free family-friendly festival will take place on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hope Farms located just south of Loop 610, minutes from downtown.
THE DAY IS FULL OF FREE ACTIVITES FOR ALL AGES
NOTE THAT THESE 3 CLASSES REQUIRE ADVANCE REGISTRATION
FAMILY COOKING CLASS WITH CHEF BOBBY MATOS 1:00PM
Tickets starting at $40
Chef Bobby Matos strums a jubilant medley of old favorites played with new spice, accent, and freshness at his signature flagship, State of Grace. Paying homage to the power of recollection, a place drawn from memory and given a proper frame, his melange of Southern, American, Latin, Gulf Coast, German, and Asian influences are a beautiful tribute to our city’s diverse cultures. Of course that sensibility flows to his home table where he tantalizes his children with real food and memorable treats. Much like us, Bobby feels that shared meals are where memories are made. Being with people you love. And eating good food.
