Kentucky Rural Health Clinic Emergency Preparedness Plan Initiative

Target Audience: Rural Health Clinics

Does your rural health clinic’s Emergency Preparedness Plan currently meet the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ updated regulations? Is it ready for an Office of Inspector General survey?

More importantly, is your clinic prepared in the event that a real emergency occurs?

Join us on Wednesday, April 29 at the London Community Center in London, Kentucky for a half-day workshop that addresses the elements of a rural health clinic’s Emergency Preparedness Plan – risk assessment and planning, policies and procedures, a communication plan, and training and testing. The workshop will also include hands-on training on how to conduct a table-top exercise and a discussion of the common deficiencies found in a rural health clinic survey.

The workshop will run from 10 a.m. t0 2:30 p.m.

The workshop will be led by Kate Hill, Vice President of Clinical Services at The Compliance Team, a nationally-recognized accreditation organization that provides comprehensive services to health care providers based in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. (For more information on The Compliance Team, visit: www.thecomplianceteam.org.)

Registration for the workshop is $25 for one person from an organization. Registration for two people from the same organization is $35. The registration fee covers all course materials and lunch.

Online registration is currently open. The deadline to register is April 22 or until all available slots are filled. Capacity for this event is limited.
