Encouraging Stories in Your Library -
Webinar (05/22/20)

Statistics are nice, but stories are forever!

As a trainer and facilitator with libraries, Linda Bruno has the pleasure of hearing heart-warming, poignant, uplifting stories from staff just in casual conversation. However, in workshops, when we talk specifically about stories in their libraries, people tend to draw a blank. After all, “it’s all in a day’s work.”

BUT… do others really know what you do within those days? I don’t think so! In this webinar, we’ll reflect on how meaningful our jobs are and how we do, indeed, impact our communities.

We’ll discuss how we can build an archive of stories for our library and how those stories can not only encourage others to use the library, but also convince your community – and your co-workers – of the value of what you do.

Virtual Trainer: Linda Bruno

Linda has been developing and conducting training workshops for libraries and other organizations for more than fifteen years. She offers workshops on topics ranging from Leadership Skills to Emotional Intelligence – and lots of areas in between!

Linda received he r MBA from the University of Florida and has years of experience in hands-on management positions. She develops her workshops based on solid research and – more importantly – real-life application. Linda is also certified with DDI and Achieve Global.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
