The on-demand Preretirement Orientation workshop is designed for state of Michigan employees in the Defined Benefit pension plan first hired before April 1, 1997, who are within five years of retirement. As you’re nearing the end of your career as a state of Michigan employee, your retirement plan is more important than ever. Now is the time to evaluate your plan to ensure a smooth transition into retirement. Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) representatives prepared online content that you can access at any time in the Preretirement Orientation online Workshop. This on-demand workshop contains the same content as our onsite meetings. We will not be offering any further onsite workshops during 2020. New workshops will not be scheduled before 2021.
