Teaching Mindfulness to Youth                   A Summer Training Intensive Over Zoom

This week-long institute is designed to prepare educators and related support service professionals to translate their personal practice of mindfulness into the classroom and therapy setting. We will share ideas on how to embody our practice and address the collective trauma we and our students have been undergoing. During the training, we will focus specifically on adapting key mindfulness practices to enhance emotion regulation in our youth. Participants will explore teaching these activities in breakouts with their peers and guidance from the program instructors. Scripts and handouts will be provided.

Who should attend?

This program is beneficial for any educator or support service personnel who work in a school with youth, any individual who provides afterschool programs for youth or sees children or teens in private practice.  Please note the training assumes participants have a regular mindfulness meditation practice or are energized to-reinvigorate to their practice regularly again.

What Continuing  Education Credits are offered?

We will be offering SCECH's for educators and 14 CEU's for social workers. An additional fee will be charged for those requesting them ($10.00 for Scech's and $15.00 for CEU's).

What does the registration fee include?

It will include a packet of mindfulness scripts and resources to use with youth.

How to prepare for each Zoom session?

A half-hour prior to each session, you will be emailed a meeting link and login information.
