Hello FPA Members,
The Coronavirus crisis that has unfolded over the past 2 months has created an unexpected and unprecedented situation around the world. Much of the country, and the world, has been virtually shut down in an attempt to bend the curve and slow the spread of the virus, and mitigate the potentially disastrous health consequences as a result. The shut down, and the corresponding economic effects of job losses and business closures, has been faster than anything we’ve seen before. We have watched in shock as the financial markets literally fell off of a cliff, dropping by 30 – 40% in just a matter of days. As financial planners and advisors, we have been helping our clients, as well as our peers, navigate through these bumpy waters.
Please join us for a Virtual Study Group on Wednesday, April 15th, 12pm – 1pm to share how you have been coping during these trying times. Our chapter’s own Jeffrey Lambert, CFP® will moderate the discussion for us, and share his own deep experience, as we discuss dealing with clients emotions, running a business in tough times, and balancing the circumstances in our own personal lives.
We are interested to learn how you have been helping your clients, handling the difficult conversations, and managing your own businesses at the same time. Let’s come together as a profession to share best practices, and help each other get through this crisis.
Although we aren’t able to currently meet in person, let’s keep our network connected, so that we can all emerge from this together as better planners and professionals.
