Mischief Managed in a Box

Brownies through Ambassadors: grab your wands and robes—we’re delivering the magically inspired world of our Mischief Managed program right to your door! With Mischief Managed In-a-Box, you will learn the Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy, Defense against the Dark Arts, and more. There is something for everyone who enjoys science, art, and coding!

When you receive your box, you will be transported to a magical school with the help of your very own Harry Potter coding wand from the Kano company. Learn to code as you start your magical journey with over 70 step-by-step challenges. You can use your new wand with any tablet, smartphone, or computer.

With the contents of your magical box, you will also solve clues and learn about secret messages in Arithmancy class and create your own Bowtruckle with a special building kit. (If you haven’t heard about Bowtruckles, they are little tree guardians that usually live in wand trees. After the loss of their forest, they are being sent to adoptive homes like yours. They even come with an adoption certificate!)

Since we are all staying at home these days, you will need a way to contact your friends and send and receive packages. We have found that the most efficient way is by owl post, of course. Get creative with the Snowy Owl craft also included in your box.

The $65 program fee includes the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit (at a special 50% discounted rate for Girl Scouts from Microsoft), as well as all other program supplies. You can also earn a free Mischief Managed patch. Expedited shipping is included.

The deadline to order the program kit is May 8, at 4:00 p.m. We will assemble and ship the entire program-in-a-box directly to you! You can expect your kit by May 15, 2020.

Things to know before you purchase:

• This program is available as a complete set only.  It cannot be purchased in pieces. 
• This is a STEM program with the primary focus on coding a wand to a specific girl. For this reason, wands are not able to be shared.
• Girls who already have wands will not be able to purchase the rest of the contents, as their wands cannot be reprogrammed.
• Activities meet some requirements of some badges, but not all requirements of any specific badge.  Program patch is included, not an earned badge.
• If you wish to use banked cookie dough, complete the Cookie Cough Redemption form, do not attempt to make the purchase online. Cookie dough can only be used for full amount of cost.  Partial payments cannot be applied.
