Community Mapping Training 4/21

One of the keys to creating successful and lasting opportunities is through getting to know our communities better. In this workshop, learners will explore and practice strategies related to Community Mapping and Informational Interviewing that will encourage intentional outreach, curiosity, and digging deeper to better assist our customers in reaching their goals. 

Learning objectives for this session include:

  • An overview of Community Mapping approaches and techniques
  • Tools for tracking your findings for individuals and as a team
  • Key questions and strategies for conducting successful Informational Interviews
  • Creating a plan for moving forward on leads and possibilities

This training will be delivered via Zoom and will require access to a computer or mobile device. Link will be sent with registration confirmation.

Dan Rutten, Wise

Dan has been working in the field of Supported Employment since 2004 and has worked as a Job Coach, Employment Consultant, and Program Manager. Dan is a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) through APSE and received his BA is Social Sciences from the University of Washington. Being a strong believer in the idea that knowledge exists to share, not be kept, Dan enjoys collaborating with people whenever possible. Dan’s professional interests include job coaching and fading supports, environmental adaptations, Person Centered Planning, utilizing goal setting to drive services, as well as program management strategies.
