Classroom Management and the Paraprofessional
(Virtual Workshop)

The word “para” came from the Greek and means; next to, alongside, to support. How can a paraprofessional, working alongside a classroom teacher, support a successful classroom environment?

In this three part series, participants will;

  • Gain an understanding of the four components to a successful classroom environment; Climate/Culture, Expectations, Rules and Routines, Acknowledgement (which includes providing feedback and behavior corrections)
  • Develop an understanding of their role in each of those components
  • Explore tools and strategies to implement and support a successful classroom environment
  • Recognize the “drivers” and functions of behavior as well as strategies to address those drivers/functions
  • Create Action Plans to use in their settings

You may also wish to familiarize yourself with our Guest Wireless Internet Access at CESA #1 and our Guest Wireless FAQ's.
