Dr Marlene Teo is a periodontist currently practicing in Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore, where she was the sixth dental graduate in its 64-year history to be awarded BDS Honours. Dr Teo subsequently obtained her Masters in Periodontology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was selected as one of four finalists in the prestigious Orban competition.
Dr Teo lectures extensively in English and Mandarin both locally and internationally. Her areas of interest are soft tissue aesthetics in implant dentistry, multidisciplinary treatment planning, dental tissue regeneration, and treating patients with dental phobias. She’s also a key opinion leader for Oral-B, Dentsply Professional, Straumann, Geistlich and Biogaia Prodentis. She has recently been selected as one of the Key Online Opinion Leaders of Straumann Global.
Dr Teo maintains a clinical practice limited to periodontics and dental implants and is director of An Dental. She passionately believes in leading a holistic and healthy lifestyle to boost immunity and combat periodontal disease. She is also a yoga addict and completed her Yoga Teacher’s Training in 2016.
