Providing Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Professional Development To Staff
Online Course

This online workshop is designed for school staff who are looking for resources and ideas on how to assist their teachers in creating classroom communities that support the learning of all students.

Just about every initiative that has been introduced in the last 5 - 10 years requires sound classroom management skills to be effectively implemented. However, finding ways to provide this professional development (PD) is challenging.

The Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Modules, developed by the WI RtI Center/PBIS Network, were designed as a resource for school leaders to provide quality PD in classroom management. They also make connections with the Danielson framework, academic instruction,
culturally responsive practice, and trauma sensitive care.

Participants will:

  • Explore the online training modules
    • View and discuss video snippets
    • Explore workbook materials, resources and assessment tools
  • Review best practices for teacher PD
    • Network and brainstorm various formats for providing quality professional development using these training materials

Cost:
$125/ person
*No cost for CESA #1 Independent Charter schools for the first 10 participants.
