Please join us on Monday, June 8th for our webinar, Student Portfolios; Turn student experiences into effective marketing tools. " with Debbie Moore, Casey Serquinia, & Rawna Hamann. 

If you are connected with a School District, work with students or provide support with job search activities than this webinar is for you. Join us to learn more about student portfolios. You will be shown examples and hear about the importance of making them person centered and business focused. We will also investigate delivery options during this “new normal”.

You will be shown examples and hear about the importance of making them person centered and business focused. We will also investigate delivery options during this “new normal”.

Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):

  • Gain knowledge around student portfolios, what are they, overall objective and benefits
  • Obtain ideas around the key components that are useful to include in portfolios.
  • Hear from a long time Teacher, Senior Employment Consultant and Partners for Work Coordinator on how they are developed, maintained and utilized.
  • What type of communication would be beneficial between Educators and Employment Consultants on behalf of students prior to exiting the school system
  • Examples and stories will support the benefits of these marketing tools

 

*Please note: Wise maintains registration and attendance records for our events and training programs. Attendees that fully participate in events and/or complete training programs will receive a certificate to document  full participation as back up for billing purposes.  Wise is required to monitor participation in our courses and provide reports to our funding sources so that they may utilize these records in the course of their audits of programs. These reports may include actual time spent by attendee name, event/training title, county and state. Reports are provided to ensure there is documented proof of the appropriate use of government funds for the purposes of professional development.

Debbie Moore 

Debbie has 34 years’ experience in the field of Supported Employment. She has spent years working within an agency where she managed the competitive employment division, acted as the Career Specialist within a local Transition Program with the Issaquah School District and currently coordinates the Partners for Work Program at WISE.


Casey Serquinia, 

Senior Employment Consultant with Trillium Employment Services has been assisting young people with finding and retaining meaningful work for almost 20 years. Her background as a Transition Program Para-educator gives her an understanding of how we as professionals can best collaborate to empower students to thrive.

Casey has partnered with 6 school districts to empower students as they grow. She has assisted dozens of students with locating and starting paid positions in a wide variety of industries.


Rawna Hamann 
  • 40 years - secondary special education teacher, the last 15 in Tahoma School District in Maple Valley, WA
  • The last 12 years focused on Transitions and work placements after leaving public school
  • Most recently, concentration on Agency connections and support for families earlier
  • Overall goal: Providing students and families with the tools needed to be hired and be successful in their employment and living a full life after leaving the public setting with the supports needed in place!
