Please join other business owners, entrepreneurs, and experienced SCORE mentors in a presentation/panel discussion that focuses on two current issues facing small business: Increasing Online Visibility, and the CARES act.

SCORE Portland experienced mentors and other experts will share tips for dealing with current topics facing small businesses. The meeting will start with a presentation by each panelist, followed by a Question and Answer period to the panelists. The format is an online webinar with Q&A and comments submitted in the Zoom “Q&A” or “Chat” function.

  1. Stacey McCormack, the CEO of Musimack Marketing will present free opportunities for optimizing your online presence." In this new “virtual” economy and with most business owners having significant financial challenges, it is critical to increase your online visibility without spending additional money.  She will present how to a) leverage Free online marketing opportunities for your small business; b) establish a professional & engaging online presence for your brand; and c) enhance your SEO & improve your company’s online visibility. 
  2. David Blass, A SCORE Mentor and small business owner will provide practical and easy-to-understand information regarding current government assistant programs. The economic impact of the COVID pandemic is world-wide but it has hit small businesses especially hard.  In its efforts to help small business survive this situation, the US Government, through the Small Business Administration (SBA), created the CARES Act.  The CARES Act and their components to aid small businesses, EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan), PPP (Payroll Protection Plan) and US backed unemployment have helped many and confused others.  This webinar is created to give a broad overview of each of the small business assistance and to explain the key differences in each program.

Stacey McCormack is the Founder and CEO of Musimack Marketing, a digital marketing agency in Tigard, OR. She specializes in website design, SEO and social media engagement for small business.

Stacey is passionate about consulting with local business owners to navigate a variety of free online marketing opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate demand for their business.

A 20-year marketing veteran, Stacey’s former life in corporate America includes experience across all major media including Radio, Broadcast TV, Cable TV, Newspaper and Digital Advertising formats. Today, she helps small businesses shine online through website design & development, SEO, social media and digital advertising.

Panelist: David Blass

David Blass is a business professional with over 35 years of experience. While his career focus has mainly been with entrepreneurial start-ups, he also has large corporate experience.

After spending 7 years in the restaurant industry, Mr. Blass moved into the high technology field. During this time, Mr. Blass started his own business (and sold it), reinvented two businesses and is currently the general manager of a small company in the flat panel display industry. He also spent nine years at Sharp Electronics.

In addition to his professional business career, Mr. Blass is also an artist and past participant of Saturday Market and other art venues selling his artwork.
