2020/2021 Basic Rubber Technology Course

Truly one of the best values TLARGI has to offer!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Typically this is a (in-classroom) 20-week course (comprised of two 10-week semesters) however, due to COVID, we will be moving to a safe schedule using webinar format. Certain group on-site activities, such as plant tours will be canceled. If (when) major advancements in COVID prevention come to fruition, the class schedule will revert to the original in-classroom style.

This year we will have a single 15-week semester schedule with classes starting Thursday August 27th, 2020 and will be held weekly each Thursday until December 17th, 2020. Live webinars will be scheduled for 5 PM to 7 PM (pacific time) each Thursday. Those attending the live Webinar will be marked present, however those students that have conflicts will be able to watch the webinar recording (for that week) and then take an exam, in order to be marked present. Student’s emails are required before the class start date and access to a computer with internet and typical conference platforms such as ZOOM Conference will be necessary for every student.

PREREQUISITES

Because this is a virtual class, each student must have his or her own computer with Internet access.

The computer must be able to run Zoom, the on-line platform we will use for instruction.

Webcams are optional, but a microphone is required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A live-interactive and friendly class-conference style allowing students to ask questions
