Dewatered Peoria Lock and Dam Site Tour

The Rock Island Post will be touring the construction site of a dewatered Lock Project in Peoria, one of the Rock Island District's five simultaneous closures of locks on the Illinois Waterway this summer to perform critical maintenance, repairs, replacements and upgrades. See below for details:
  1. Registration is limited to 40 people maximum and will close one week before the event
  2. Groups will be split into 8-10 people and rotate touring site features w/ their respective guide
  3. Safety Brief will occur at 0930 with tours commencing after. Carpooling will be organized to leave from the Quad Cities for those interested. Let us know if you need a ride or have space in your vehicle for others in the survey below! Carpool to meet at free Moline lot at SW corner of River Dr. and 17th St. 
  4. PPE required on site (close toed shoes required, steel toes suggested if you have them). Don't have any PPE? We will find/get you some! Let us know what you need in the survey below!
  5. Face coverings are suggested as tour and carpooling will include instances where 6' of social distancing may not be accomplished 
  6. Sub Sandwich lunch boxs will be provided as part of tour and registration fee
