Online Fetal Assessment Course Now Available 

All OB/GYN and Family Medicine Residents are invited to attend a new online Fetal Assessment Course sponsored by the SEMCME OB/GYN Committee. Attendance is mandatory for 1st year residents. This course is designed to teach and evaluate basic competency in interpreting antepartum and intrapartum fetal assessment data predominately for the term pregnancy. Teaching methods include lectures and examples, with a focus on common terminology. Visual examples of fetal heart patterns are used extensively throughout the course. By completion of the day, course participants will be able to define and assess normal and abnormal fetal heart rates, variability, periodic and episodic decelerations, accelerations, uterine contraction patterns and uterine muscle tone.
