Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents: Intellectual Property Basics - 07/21/2020 - C1000

Duration: 1.5 hours

EVENT OVERVIEW

Need to protect your information and your brand? Most small businesses start out with an incomplete picture of what legal protections are available. A lack of clarity and knowledge about Intellectual Property can mean a significant potential loss in assets and value. Your intellectual property could be easily copied, usually leaving you without any recourse.

Conducted by Intellectual Property Attorneys, this webinar panel discussion addresses how to better protect your intellectual property by becoming aware of the legal protections that exist and how to put them in place early on.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
At the end of this workshop you will have the information and resources to:

  • Differentiate between trademarks, copyrights and patents
  • Describe when and why each type of IP is needed and the process as well as cost of obtaining each type
  • Summarize the impact of having a patent on the chances of being funded
  • Distinguish between patentability and patent infringement

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Small business executives who want to protect their information and brand.
