Waterfront Applications for
Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer
The presentation will provide an introduction to fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) composite pipe piling and sheet piling focusing on some of the most common applications of FRP sheet pile wall and pipe piles (i.e. waterfront applications ~ Marinas, seawalls, bulkheads, etc.)
The presentation will include a review of important design, safety factors, and drivability considerations. And the design discussion will detail how Creative Pultrusions utilizes pultrusion industry design standards, developed by the American Society of Engineers, to publish characteristic design data and validate moment and stiffness capacities of sheet pile sections.
The talk will conclude by touching on manufacturing advantages of FRP materials versus their traditional counterparts (wood, concrete, steel, aluminum, vinyl).
