Help Springer Kick off LD/ADHD Awareness Month this October and join us in welcoming Jonathan Mooney on Thursday October 1, 2020 6:30-8:00pm!

During his presentation, Jonathan Mooney will illustrate his ideas with his personal and professional experiences as a person with dyslexia and student with ADHD. Jonathan weaves his experiences and forward-thinking philosophies with his broad academic knowledge of education, psychology, sociology and history of learning and disability.  He has written 3 books, including his newest release Normal Sucks: How to Live, Learn, and Thrive Outside the Lines.

Jonathan is an award winning writer, entrepreneur, and activist who did not learn to read until he was twelve years old. He holds an honors degree from Brown University, is a Harry S. Truman Scholar for Public Service (California, 1999), and was a finalist for a Rhodes scholarship. Jonathan has established himself as one of the foremost leaders in the neurodiversity and the learning revolution as a published author having written Normal Sucks (2019), The Short Bus: A Journey Beyond Normal (2008), Learning Outside the Lines (2000), and a contributing essay titled The Dyslexic Brain Kicks Ass to The Brown Reader (2014), a book published In celebration of Brown University’s 250th anniversary. In 2008 Jonathan’s social impact work was recognized by the Lab School of Washington where he shared the stage with then Vice President of the United States, Joseph Biden. He is a widely sought after speaker whose work has been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, HBO, NPR, ABC News, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe.
