Tips for Dementia Caregiving at Home

Managing daily care for a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease or other dementia-related illness can be isolating and stressful. With fewer outside supports available due to COVID-19, many caregivers are facing longer hours of hands-on care at home. In this program, we will:

  • provide tips, resources, and strategies for caregivers
  • recommend activities for loved ones with dementia
  • invite caregivers to share their thoughts

Please join us, and bring your ideas and questions for the group.

Joyce Colletto, RN is a longtime home health advocate who is passionate about teaching caregivers how to cope and care for loved ones as they progress through the stages of dementia-related illnesses. Joyce has served as Community VNA's Alzheimer's Assistance Program Nurse for the past 18 years.

Dawn McKetchnie has served as the agency's Community Liaison and Education Coordinator for the past two years, creating unique opportunities for learning, collaboration, and growth for community groups.

Community VNA offers educational programs as part of its non-profit mission to enhance the community's capacity for health, wellness and quality of life
