This year’s theme Envisioning a new world” reinforces our commitment to a world where everyone has access to eye health and vision care that is affordable, accessible and of high professional standards. 

2020 marks a key year for vision and although the celebrations of achievements and the revealing of new plans were put aside due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the health inequalities that the pandemic has unveiled, make it even more relevant to be prepared to provide services to those most vulnerable who are in risk of being left behind in what will be a more challenging world in the future.

The meeting will explore the role tele-health and innovation, vision rehabilitation through assistive technologies, approaches to eye health for people with disabilities, the impact of school screenings and a range of country experiences.  This year we will offer two COPE accredited sessions.

Although we will miss the personal interaction, please join us for a day of sharing and learning from the comfort of your own home.  You can find details of the programme below.
