Virtual Ocular Surface Disease Symposium
A 2017 study estimated 16 million Americans have been diagnosed with dry eye disease but the actual number of Americans suffering from dry eye symptoms is likely much higher. Some reports indicate that nearly half of all U.S. adults experience dry eye symptoms, and 33% of patients in eye care clinics present with complaints about dry eye. Chronic and progressive, dry eye disease impacts visual performance, contact lens success, surgical outcomes, and patient quality of life.
New England College of Optometry and Dry Eye Coach have partnered to present a four-part Ocular Surface Disease symposium for optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and technicians interested in expanding and improving dry eye services in their practice. Each session is two hours of COPE approved education, for a total of eight hours in the series.
