Every day, more than 3,000 children are killed through abortion and their bodies discarded as medical waste.   it's time to honor their lives and give them the dignity that the tragedy of abortion denied them.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Right to Life of Northeast Ohio  will sponsor the 7th annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, calling on pro-life Americans to honor the gravesites and memorials of our aborted brothers and sisters.  Because of the restrictions imposed by state and local governments due to the coronavirus, this year we will be hosting an ONLINE AND VIRTUAL EVENT!  Normally, we have an interfaith memorial service at the Memorial to the Unborn at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
This year, we will still have memorial participants, however, they will be doing their presentations online/and or by video.  We WILL once again do a presentation of flowers at the memorial on September 12  LIVE on facebook (click here to link to our facebook page) at the memorial at 2PM.  You are welcome to join us in person for this part of the ceremony, obeying the cemetery's social distancing guidelines.   All of the participant videos and the presentation of the flowers will be posted on our website and will also be sent out by e-mail.   Video presentations will be available on our facebook event page for the National Day of Remembrance for Abortion Children.

NEW THIS YEAR
Abortion is a huge problem that needs our constant attention.  We are encouraging everyone to take part in a spirtual adoption program to help stop the anti-life push around the world.  This is inspired by the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen who encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child.  The purpose of spiritual adoption is to pray for nine monthes for one particular but unknown child’s life  \to be spared from abortion and be allowed to continue to live.  Many churches and organizations already have an active spiritual adoption program which we encourage you to take part in.  However, if your church does NOT have such a program, please click here for details of how you can spiritually adopt an unborn child.

Memorial service/Video/Online participants to date include Denise Leipold (Executive Director, Right to Life of Northeast Ohio), Rev. Robert Schneider (The Chapel, Akron OH [retired] and RTLNEO board member), Media Personality Robin Swoboda,  U.S. Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (OH District 16), Christina Hagan (candidate for U.S Congress OH District 13) and music from Jeff and Kira Andrea  Check back soon for more participants as they become available.

We will send you a reminder about the facebook live event, and will also let you know when the event participant's videos are uploaded.

YES, I will attend in spirit.
